Tiger Speak

So a while ago I went to an impromptu concert in the basement in one of Tuft’s on-campus houses. The band was called Tiger Speak (not Speaks) and they classified themselves as jazz hip-hop fusion. When I arrived in the overly crowded basement, I found not just a band, but a small orchestra. Two trumpets, two tenor saxs, a drummer, a keyboardist, a guitarist and a bassist! One of their trumpet players, Ryan Easter, would drop his trumpet in favor of a mic, and surprisingly, delivered some very smooth and tight lyrics. Not to mention that all the musicians in this group are absolutely incredible, with many of them being students of Berklee College of Music in downtown Boston. So I’m gonna just shut up and let you listen!
