Time again for me to share another photographer’s work that I wish was mine. This is from a series called “The Old One Two,” by photographer Devin Yalkin. Again I have to credit lightbox for showing me this incredible work. Yalkin stumbled upon an almost Fight Club-esque setting in these underground boxing matches in New York, which he felt he absolutely needed to document. Yalkin described the scene when he went to his first fight: “The music was shaking the walls as if there was a subway going through the floor below us.” I particularly like that he wasn’t afraid to try something new by using long exposures, because the result really captures the environment.
